IRIS Pro fair use

Last updated 19 August 2026

IRIS Pro includes managed AI, live speech-to-text and web search, with no keys to set up and nothing metered against you day to day. This page explains the one limit that exists, so that you know about it before you subscribe rather than after.

The short version

A very small number of people use IRIS so heavily in a month that the AI behind it costs more than their subscription. If you reach that point, live cues switch to a lighter AI model for the rest of the calendar month. That is the whole of it.

What changes: live cues are generated by a lighter model. They keep working. They are a little less finely judged about when to speak and what is worth saying.

What does not change: Ask, session summaries, key points and action items, Hey Even, the terminal bridge, transcription, recordings, exports, memory, calendar and to-dos. All unchanged.

How the limit is measured

By what your usage costs us in AI, not by anything you can see on a counter. There is no cap on sessions, hours, transcripts, questions or cues, and no feature is ever switched off or locked. Speech-to-text and web search are not counted toward it at all.

We do not publish the exact figure, for the same reason no service publishes its unit costs. What we can tell you is the shape of it: it sits well above what normal daily use runs up, and in a typical month it is reached by a handful of subscribers out of the whole base.

You will hear about it first

If you are heading toward the limit, we email you while you are still on the full experience — not afterwards. If you do pass it, we email again to say so. Nothing changes silently.

When it resets

On the 1st of each calendar month, for everyone, regardless of your individual billing date. Cues return to the normal model automatically. There is nothing to claim or switch back on.

New subscribers

Your first month is exempt. Exploring IRIS properly when you have just joined should never cost you anything, so the limit does not apply until you have been subscribed for a month.

If you regularly go past it

Email help@eveniris.com and we will sort something out with you directly, whether that is a higher-limit plan or simply lifting it. We would rather hear from you than have you quietly put up with a worse experience.
